What does love look like?
A study of the story of the good Samaritan, told by Jesus helps us to understand who a nieghbour really is. In the end, we find that the real question isn’t ‘Who is my Nieghbour’. Rather we should ask ourselves ‘What kind of Neighbour am I?’
August – our month of giving opened up with a study that revealed the truth about giving. Questions like; when should I give? how much is enough? or I dont have enough? are easily answered and you will find peace when it comes to giving.
A cheerful giver knows that there is nothing he has that he did not get from God and that there’s nothing he gives out that God cant restore. This study shows the importance of being cheerful when giving and what it means to be a cheerful giver.
Jesus is our true example of love, and being in love with us, He laid down His life for us. Jesus shows us that the real cost of love is ‘self’. A death to pride and selfishness. His love is our definition of love.
God clearly did not intend for us to live or lives by ourselves; the many references to ‘Dear Friends; ..Together; …Fellowship’ by the apostles gives testament to this. However, this Bible study helps us see that becoming a good friend is far more important than finding a good friend.
